This is a virtual event.
If we are able to hold a face to face event, we will announce this nearer the time.
Details to follow.
We were hoping to host the Pleural Research Day 2021 as a face to face event but given the current situation, we are now planning an online conference.
If you are a member, please log in before booking a place to benefit from a discounted price.
We will send updates about the Research Day through a mailing list. Membership emails will be sent through a separate list. (This is also by ‘double-opt-in’ at registration).
Once again we would like to invite researchers to submit their scientific work presenting original research. (Submissions which have been recently presented at other conferences/events will also be accepted).
Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for oral or poster presentation. Winners will be selected and prizes awarded on the day.
Submission guidelines:
Abstracts may be submitted at https://www.pleura.org.uk/abstract-submission
Alternatively, if you experience any technical difficulties, please submit your work by emailing: [email protected]
We will acknowledge the receipt of your submission within 3 working days. If you have not heard from us, please contact us at [email protected] or on 01865 227612.
You can view the 2021 programme here: Pleural Research Day_2021_Updated
(Please note that the timings are yet to be confirmed with all the speakers so there may be some minor changes).
Although we are unable to provide any accommodation on site, there are a number of options available for those who might need an overnight stay in Oxford when attending the Pleural Research Day.
For any queries relating to the Pleural Research Day 2021, please contact Magda Laskawiec-Szkonter at [email protected]
As we are holding a virtual event this year, there will be no post conference dinner for the attendees.
The annual Pleural Research Day is a fantastic opportunity to learn about current and upcoming research studies and to gain insight into research that might inform future studies in pleural disease. It is organised by Dr Eleanor Mishra and Prof Naj Rahman.
This will be a virtual conference. If anything changes, and we can hold a face to face event, we will announce this via the website and newsletters.
