ExpiredPleural Research Day 2018


The annual Pleural Research Day is an opportunity to learn about current research studies, upcoming research studies, and to gain insights in to research that might inform future studies in pleural disease. It is organised by Eleanor Mishra and Naj Rahman.

The 2018 Pleural Research Day will be held at the Richard Doll Building, Old Road Campus, Oxford on 22 June 2018. You can find all the information you need by clicking on the tabs.

This year we would like to invite researchers to submit their scientific work presenting original research. Submissions which have been recently presented at other conferences/events may also be accepted.

Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for oral or for poster presentation.  Winners will be selected and prizes awarded.

We will acknowledge the receipt of your submission within 3 working days. If you have not heard from us, please contact us at manager@pleura.org.uk or on 01865 227612.

Your submission will be reviewed by a scientific committee and we will let you know by 12th June if your work has been selected for presentation on 22June.

UK Pleural Society members £25.00
Non-members £50.00
UK Pleural Society subscription £20.00/year
Dinner £10.00

We will send updates about the Research Day through a mailing list, so please ensure that you agree to sign up. Membership emails will be sent through a separate list. This is also by ‘double-opt-in’ at registration.

Although we are unable to provide any accommodation on site, there are a number of options available for those who might need an overnight stay in Oxford when attending the Pleural Research Day. (As the Pleural Research Day is held outside term time, college rooms may be available for hire).
